I think you need to save the 2GB partition for the Media Direct stuff if you plan on using it

My estimated shipping date is the 23rd-25th...I called and got upgraded to next day but it doesn't say that on my order status page.

I just might have to call in and see if i can get that, I think i've been losing a bit of sleep over not having this, it took forever to figure out my order and what i wanted and then order it, and now its gonna take even longer for it to be at my house... Ugh

Yeah...The worst part about this for me is that I'm going to the beach with a friend next week so my family is gonna have to sign for it, which means I should come home to a laptop loaded with random **** on it. All the more reason to reformat once I get my hands on it.

Lucky me its being sent to my moms where they aren't tech savvy enough to want to open it, but I have to drive like 20 minutes to go get it... a worthy sacrifice i guess compared to your problems, i typically don't reformat but if I can get enough of good reasons and what all the drivers i'd need to DL after i might, when you reformat don't you lose the media direct?

ok guys, back to the question at hand, I know enough to do the reformatting and drivers, BUT, is it necessary to save that Dell F8 restore, JUST IN CASE??
But to you guys, what IS the bloatware, the dell support stuff??
