I have a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop with Windows xp, and I would like to completely format the harddrive and reinstall Windows, but I do not have the original disks that came with the laptop. I do have disks for a Dell desktop computer. I'm not worried about the drivers, as I have them backed up, but is it possible to use these other disks to reinstall windows on this laptop and use this computers windows key?

As long as you have a valid Windows license (which you should, since your machine came with XP), you can use any installation disk to install the OS. You will probably have to activate it with the desktop disk, though.
