I bought my e1505 with a WSXGA+ screen so I could get the extra resolution, but now I regret this decision because the glare on my screen is too much...

Are there any protective coatings, or something similar I can place on my screen to remove the glare?

    Thanks,
    -BassKozz

The only thing i can think of is to get a protector sheet, but i am not sure if that will solve the problem or not. Another thing is that they are hard to install - at least on a 17in.

If it is really that bad, you'll need to return your laptop in the 21 day period. Once the 21 days are over, you'll be stuck with the screen or you'll have to pay for the matte screen.

Let us know how the screencover turns out on your computer. Does it stop the glare?

I had one of these, and on a 17in, it was very difficult to get the protector on there right. I would recommend to take the bezel off of your LCD if you feel comfortable doing that, and installing the protector. Otherwise, you have to remove the paper, exposing the glue, and try to get the sheet in there without getting the glue on the LCD. Again, this was with a 17in, so mine is probably more difficult to install than yours is.
