Hi, I purchased a new adapter non Dell adapter for a Dell Studio 1558 and because it is a 65W instead of the original 95W I keep getting the notification to change it to that 95W every time I start the laptop (I must press F1 to continue with the loading) and when the desk top loads and I must click on OK in the notification to get rid of it.

Similarly I keep getting the notification that the battery needs to be changed every time the desktop loads.

So how do I get rid of these silly ever repeating annoyances?

What you should do is go and buy a proper genuine Dell 90W adapter.

There may also be a flag in BIOS to turn off adapter warnings.

Not too sure about the Windows message... you can probably just take out the battery?

Thanks Commander Wolf, how does one change the BIOS settings so that these warnings do not appear?
