Some of you may know my last notebook that I ordered didn't work out & I canceled it & I just reordered a new one, here it is:
1st - Est. Delivery Date: 1/21/2008-1/23/200 - Free 3-5 Day Shipping
2nd - Est. Ship Date: 1/17/2008, After Asking from the Rep for Free Next Day Shipping <- I wasn't going to spend 30bucks for something I could get for free.
So in the end, I got all free next biz shipping.
Sub-Total : $769.00 - Was $919.00 - Used -$200 Coupon
Tax : $53.85 <- Grr I hate tax.
Order Total : $822.85 - Not too bad, I think.

The only thing I'll suggest is accidental care coverage. I was always treated better as a customer with that coverage on my notebooks. Otherwise, the config looks good at a pretty decent price.

i would have gotten a bigger hard drive or get one on newegg because 80GB on vista is going to be like having zero space
-
Vista, LOL, I COULDN'T even run with 1Gig with Vista. If you can read, I have XP
And 80GB HD on XP is a good amount, mostly I'll be saving most of my music/videos/etc on my network server. -
1gb in 2007-2008 is not enough even for xp
-
Also, I can buy ram from dell two Gigs for 90$, but yet when I custom it, its 125$, but with my 90$ I get two one sticks of 1Gig and two 512MB sticks, lol. -
Newegg FTW.
Dell wanted to charge me $125 to go to 2GB. I ordered 1GB and bought 4GB on Newegg for $70.
My uncle, who is a Mac fanatic, owns a Mac Pro with two Quad Core Xeons at 3.0 GHz and 16GB of RAM. He was telling me that he paid a lot (something like $1500) for the 16GB, which is 8x2GB. I told him I got 4GB for my lappy for $70 off Newegg and he responded that this was "high-speed". I didn't want to say anything more because he pulled up his "about this computer" and it said DDR2-667, which is substandard for desktops now and just as fast as mine.
I didn't want to rub it in that I got a great deal and Apple screwed him. -
oops, I didn't see the xp.....lol
I ran xp good with 1.2 GB of memory on my other laptop, but there's no way i could run that on vista -
seems like a decent deal, good work
-
Well I'm going to buy two 1GB from newegg with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231066. I'm pretty sure it'll fit, but just in case, it will right? 1520 has two 200pin connectors that can hold a load of 677Mhz and they can hold up to 2GB or 4GB?
For $46.xx Total -
That's some inexpensive upgrade, awesome deal.
