    Hi

    I hade a problem with Vista and I reinstall Vista witch I did by formating the partition where Vista was install and reinstall vista After.

    Now, I can't boot XP. I try the Microsoft way ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922809) but wen it comes the time to choose repair, the repair option is not available. I can see the XP partition but is not lable as XP and I can see the Vista Partion lable Partion 2.

    I did the Dual boot with EasyBCD1.6. Thanks for any help, I simply can't afford formating the XP partion...

    I'm not even sure if this'll work, but it won't hurt trying.

    Make a file in your C: drive named boot.ini
    Now copy and paste the following italicised text:

    [boot loader]
    timeout=5

    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /noguiboot

    Just realised - What setup do you have? How many drives, how many partitions? Which partitions/drives are the OS's installed on?
    As I said, it might not work, but it definitely won't affect Vista's boot.

    Excellent. Try what I said in that first post, and if EasyBCD doesn't pick up the XP install, try changing the partition(2) to partition(0) or partition(1)
