    Repaired MediaDirect and it messed up my hard drive!

    Just repair MediaDirect since i formated my hard drive last night. Now it says this:
    Loading PBR for descriptor 2..done
    [xldr] !ata

    This is causing windows NOT to load :(

    Boot into Safe mode, and then delete it if you can

    I have my Media Direct machine coming this week, so i dont know exactly

    What changes to the partitions might you have done during the reinstall of Windows? Sounds like you may have deleted the Dell Utility partition

    Dell utillity i dont care since it is on that drivers and utillity cd that came with my computer

    yes it was deleted

    can it also be because i also deleted that HPA thing too?

    wrt the HPA what have you done in that regard???

    If you're talking about the 4.5GB partition, that is not the HPA it is the Dell Restore partition.

    Some more detail here would be helpful to decide how to proceed.
