My wifes Dell XPS 13 L322x made an unfriendly contact with a glass of tea. Result: a fried mainboard. A colleague of mine has an unused XPS 13 9333 mainboard for me. Is it possible to replace a L322x mainboard with the 9333 mainboard. At first sight they look the same

i was wondering the same thing. you're probably looking at the same images of motherboards from ebay listings that i am? they do look the same, and therefore i'd say you can go for it. the model numbers are super confusing, but from what i can tell, all the 4th gen CPU XPS 13 motherboards are the same, whereas the 3rd and 5th gen are significantly different.
