    Replace Vostro LCD cover with Inspiron LCD cover from Dell Parts?

    I'm hoping to do this with the Vostro 1700 I'll (hopefully) be winning tonight. I can't seem to find any kind of manual for taking the cover off, any help?

    darn, that is nice stuff. Any chance i can get that thing delivered to Singapore? it seems to be only available in US, and no body is selling it on ebay either. I WANT THE RED!

    my dang hinge broke - it is pretty weak where it bolts to the cover so I bet a few covers will be broken soon. I used some metal set (J B weld) type stuff to fix it somewhat but the faceplate did not fit so great. So I bought the cheapest cover and hinge combo on ebay. a 1520 White lid $20 + $6 shipping - 15 mins and it was on and the wifi all wired up. It looks ok but it closes and opens now.
