Well if you changed the mobo with a 1400 then it has a 1400 bios in it,a 1420 bios wont work in a 1400 (unless theres something im missing?)

Inspiron 1420 has probably the same mainboard as Vostro 1400 so now I have Inspiron with Vostro bios...so I'm not sure what to do...let it be like it is or replace/change bios somehow?

Back in the days of the D600 and 600M, I think there were ways to flash the BIOS from one to the other... but I haven't heard of a way to do it with the 1420 and 1400. I don't think it really matters unless you're having some sort of hardware difficulty, though, the BIOSes should be nearly identical.
