I was wondering if anyone would happen to know when Dell was planning on replacing the Inspiron 6000 with a new model or if a timeline for new releases is planned.

The I6000 is fairly new. I dont think it will be replaced anytime soon.

I haven't heard of that particular machine being replaced anytime soon. However, a recent model, the XPS M140 is new to the market and is comparible to the integrated graphics i6000. It is a 14" notebook (not 15.4" like i6000).

Perhaps in a little while Dell will decide to equip this new notebook with dedicated graphics. Not sure though.

Well the XPS M140 is more like the Inspiron 600m i believe.

And to answer your question: Not any time soon. Dell doesnt upgrade that often in my eyes. And when they do upgrade, there is really no difference, take the 700m and 710m.
