    When I receive my replacement 1400, should I just swap out the Hard Drives? I already have my life on this computer and don't really want to have to move everything again (Especially iTunes!) Will there be any disadvantages to doing this? Thanks.

    Uh... if you mean your desktop HD I can tell you now that won't work.

    //edit: wait i misunderstood that

    I don't know if Dell would like if you switched the HD. Really don't know if you could get in trouble for something like that or not.

    Disadvantages = warranty problems and also maybe Dell going "wtf this returned laptop has a diff part number"

    I'm not sure what the Vista install would do either. It keys to certain components on your computer (hardware)... you may have to re-activate via the MS phone# and explain what you did.

    I've never tried it so I would be intrested in hearing what happens :D
