    Hi,

Can I replace my Toshiba MK2555GSX (250GB) hard disk for a Toshiba MK5055GSX (500GB) hard disk on my Inspiron 1545? Is it compatible and is it easy to do it yourself?

    Thanks,

Yes the 1545 has 2 screws on the bottom where it locks the HDD to the chassis and another 2 securing the HDD caddy to the HDD.

I would avoid Toshiba drives like the plague. Get a WD instead. :D
