    Yeah, it'll most likely work. Just make there the company you buy it from has a return policy just in case.

    have other people bought aftermarket batteries for their dells? can anyone suggest a good place to purchase them from other than from the manufacturer

    Yes, I bought a Genuine Brand New 6-cell battery for my new M1530 on Ebay. Yes, I know, you might be like, why did I trust them. But I did just because I was able to win it for 40 bucks. The main thing I check for is that it has to be brand new, and most importantly the part number has to match the one that would have came with my system. (I got the 9 cell with my order, so I had to look up the part number for the 6 cell)

    It arrived in perfect condition as the seller described it being brand new and she had wanted to get it herself. Stuck it in my M1530, and voiala, 2 hours and 39 minutes of battery life after unplugging it from AC after it was fully charged. Amazing.

    I think you'll be fine ordering from where your looking because the part number does match the 9-cell of the E1505 and the image also does look the same, though most likely you can get it cheaper on Ebay. Just make sure to look out for the details I aforementioned if you do decide to purchase from there.
