Has anyone replaced the power button cover on an Inspiron 1525. How do you remove/detach the data cable?

It didn't break off but due to a coffee spillage the keyboard needs replacing and I'm replacing the button cover too because the old one is scratched.

Unfortunately the manual isn't too clear on how the cable is detached and I don't want to just pull it out in case it breaks.

So nobody had to change the hinge/control cover then?

Ok, it turns out that you simply pull out the data cable. However, it's almost impossible to get the blasted thing back in again. Anyone have any tips on getting the cable back into the motherboard connector again?
