A couple of months ago I bought a Dell Inspiron 15R SE. So far everything, beside some minor GPU driver issues, about this laptop is perfect for my needs.
Only the screen isn't. I do a lot of photo editing, on a external Ultrasharp display.

Since a couple of weeks I also edit on the location of the shoots, and I really have problems with the colors of this screen.

Therefore I would like to replace the original 1080p screen with the older AU Optronics B156HW01 V.4 panel.

Has anyone did that, or can anybody give me information regarding this?

    Thanks a lot! :)

All I can add is the AU Optronics B156HW01 V.4 panel is a very nice one.

I upgraded my XPS 15 laptop screen to one, as well as my old M4600.

If you already have a FHD screen, it should work, but until you try it is not guaranteed, hopefully some one can confirm they have done it.

The most issues I have read with screen upgrades have been from the HD to the FHD screens, as many laptops require a new LVDS cable to do so.
