I have the Inspiron 11 3137 with Dell Wireless 1705 card in it. I want to remove that and replace it with a Dual-Band Wireless card to connect to my school network. Do i have to un-whitelist the BIOS to be able to make it work.

I'm using the exactly same machine and replaced with an Intel 7260 AC Wifi / Bluetooth adapter and running fine. With Windows 8.1 there's no driver installation needed.

Dell doesn't whitelist their wireless adapters, so get the one you want as long as it's the right form factor.
