    Replacing a Studio 1535 Optical Drive

    I found the official instructions, but I can't make head nor tails of most of it after you take off the back plates.

    Can someone either reiterate these for me or tell me where to get it done and how much?

    What are the back plates. You have to take apart the whole computer in order to get the cd drive out.
