    I need some advice.
I still have an old Dell 1405 (640m) with Intel Pro 3945ABG & I can get Intel 5100 BGN dual-band or Intel Wifi Link 1000 for only $7. I suppose 5100 is better ?
Can I replace this without problem?
    Is it half-height or full-height ?

I've heard sayings that Dell has bios lock to make non-Dell certified card from working ?

You'll need a full height card, but I wouldn't recommend spending any money on it. I doubt you'll notice much difference between the 3945 and 5100 unless you're using 802.11n and are exceeding 802.11g bandwidth.

Intel WiFi Link 1000 is a half-height card.

    Thanks for the info.
Yeah, I don't actually need it since my internet speed is only 3 Mbps thru an N router :D
I just feel so tempted to upgrade out of curiosity & it's only $7 hahaha
