A few days ago I got my refurb 600m I ordered from Dell Outlet - great deal, about $600 for the laptop with a Pentium M. However I soon noticed that my "E" key acts weird - it sometimes works (especially if I had been using the keyboard for a while) and every few key-presses it doesn't. So I called Dell and they decided to send me a new keyboard (my service plan is a mail-in plan.) Looking at the instructions I'm rather surprised they would decide to let the user do this rather than send it in. Is the replacement easy? Will the button panel above the keyboard go back in pretty easily? What do you think?

Also I'm worried that there is a chance this laptop may just be a "lemon." Maybe the problem might be in the motherboard and not in the keyboard? I also noticed that the little piece of plastic to press to see the battery charge on the battery is slightly cracked. Should I worry?

Also out of curiousity what is the actual OEM of the 600m?

    Thanks!
