    Replacing screen in a B120

    I currently have an Inspiron B120 (15.4" body) that has a 14.1" screen that I'd like to replace with a 15.4" WUXGA screen. Will there be any compatibility issues? Other than buying a 15.4" bezel, is there anything else that would be needed?

    Looking at the B120/B130 service manual, it seems like you might need new hinges or maybe even a new lid. Hard to tell since they don't take the lid assembly apart...

    Check out eBay and see what the parts look like?

    EDIT: Yes, you at least need new hinges. The fourteen inch hinges and fifteen inch hinges, respectively:

    I'd say you just get a new lid assemble to be on the safe side...

    Fairly certain the guy has either the wrong description or the wrong picture. The service manual shows the first set of hinges and what's obviously a fourteen inch screen, and the second set of hinges is different. What else would it be besides the hinges for the fifteen inch screen?

    How would I go about finding out which screen is compatible? Apparently the LG LP154WU1(TL)(B2) works in the M1530, would it work for me?

    Just search for "B120 WUXGA" in eBay. I saw like four or five compatible displays yesterday. You could try like "B130 WUXGA" too.

    I'd post a link, but there's something fishy going on with the FireFox on this T22...

    True, but you'll just end up with screen made by a random manufacturer that way whereas I'd like a specific one. Also, all the B120/B130/1300 WUXGA screens are glossy and I'd prefer matte.

    For what manufacturer are you looking? You could contact the eBay sellers and see who makes their displays... If all B120/B130/1300 screens are glossy, I'm not sure if you're going to find a matte option.
