    Hi,

Yesterday I bought a Dell Vostro 1015 in India. However, I was not given a warranty card/booklet, but just the bill. I was told that the bill and the date printed on it is sufficient to avail the 1 year warranty. I found it strange that there is not so much as a mention about the 1 year onsite warranty anywhere in the booklets given along with the laptop.

Please let me know whether I'm missing something here.

    Regards,
    L. Hope

I am not sure about Dell India but the US gives basic warranty information online. You can also access the details specific to your warrnty by your service tag.

u need to understand 2 things warranty gives u law , that mean state in which u bought it and is only available in that country too, if u request warranty repair in USA and bought your notebook in India it wont be repaired, on other side dell gives u service a NBD service, this is international and only this not any other service, and if u have NBD service u need call a call center for that country and they can reapir it.
