    From Dell.com:

    Package Shipped on 5/11/2006
Status: On Schedule, 5/10/2006 5:55:13 PM
    Carrier: UPS
    Delivery Estimate: May 12

    From UPS.com:

    Status: In Transit - Rescheduled
    Rescheduled Delivery: 05/15/2006
    Shipped or Billed on: 05/10/2006

Huh? I paid for Next Day  (which would be 5/12, would it not?)

It says it's sitting in TN, that's 6 or so hours from here.. not 2 days.

Well depeding on the courier, your next day, is usually next business day. So that is why it might be re-scheduled. I would call Dell and complain, they will give you something for your troubles.

I did the same and called Dell and they rectified the situation and gave me a great coupon for my next purchase, which I gave to a friend of mine.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip, I called them about the next day and it's turning into 5 days.

They're refunding the $79 next day charge.

See...alot of people complain about their customer service, but when you have an order problem, they try and rectify it right away. :)

An important thing to note is the 21 day Return policy is from the time it is shipped from Dell, not from your receipt.

I wasn't lying about the 5/15 delivery date and the Dell person confirmed it. I looked later at UPS and it moved to tomorrow!

I would assume so. They were going to call me Monday to resolve the issue and do the refund then.

I can only assume they called UPS and changed that hold they had on it. No idea why they did it other than to meet their original estimate of delivery.

If Dell already credited you, they most likely will not take back the refund. They are good about stuff like that.

When I called and complained about the long delivery time they gave me free overnight, so I don't think they really care. Not only that, but they don't pay $79 for the delivery because they have a contract so that they can pay less. :p

Dell can't just take back a refund. If they did, you could always call up and dispute that with someone at Dell or with your credit card company. By Dell refunding you, they gave back the money that you purchased next day shipping with.

By taking back the refund without notifying you, that is essentially making an unauthorized charge to your credit card, which constitutes as credit card fraud.

Keep that in mind, if they do take it back, especially if you do NOT get it next day, like promised.

No, I think he hasn't even gotten the refund back yet. They were going to give it to him on Monday.
