I received my Inspiron 6000 the other day, and I had ordered the WUXGA screen that had high resolution. There's a little problem now though--the high resolution makes things too small and too hard to see. I did change the dpi so the fonts are bigger and that solved most problems, but still in certain instances things appear very small. Is there any way to change this, or would it be better to exchange it for one with the regular screen which will be cheaper and still serve my needs? Thanks.

only you can answer this question. i have a wuxga and would never go back to anything less. however, wuxga doesn't suit you. if it's unworkable to the point that you can't use it, then what do you think you should do? it comes down to personal preference and only you know if a return is worth it.

have you tried changing the resolution to some a little lower, and see if that helps any? I would give it a couple of days, and if you don't get used to it, then send it. As long as you are with in your 21 day window of invoice date, then you'll be able to get a full refund minus shipping.

    Maybe try Liquidview from http://personalcomputing.portrait.com/us/products/lv_overview.html?

I assume you are using bigger fonts (not just higher dpi): right click screen..."display properties"...appearance..."font size"..."extra large".

If you use "Internet Explorer" as your web browser, you may be forever disapointed. Try Mozilla Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/.
Then set it to your native dpi (147) through tools...options...general..."fonts and colors"..."display resolution" (change from 96 dpi to 147). Then change font pixel size in all three panels to right of "fonts and colors" panel itself to minimum of 24.

In each other program you have too small a font, increase font size or increase default zoom level to around 130%. ;)
