    Restore/OS disks with recent e1505/6400?

    Unlike HP, Dell does not have an option on their order website to get restore or OS disks with the e1505/6400. Has anyone bought either sytem recently - do they come with OS and driver disks or do they have a restore partition on the HDD? Thanks

    Restore partition but you can always call them and get them shipped to you FOC. I think there's several threads on this already.

    As of december 2006, dell included a full XP disc (not just a restore image) with the e1505. I didn't need to specify this when I ordered, it was just automatically included.

    There was also a restore partition on the hdd, but I deleted that when I did a clean install.
