Idid a fresh install of vista ultimate on my new m1330. With the factory installation i had a dell reccomended power profile which really helped battery life. Even after installing quickset on the new vista install, i still dont have that (and the other dell profiles) back. Any ideas?

Put it in balanced mode, they are one and the same.

I'm not so sure. Projected battery life has dropped from ~3.5/4 hours to just over 2.5

Was that original battery life projection taken during computer idle times?

    EDIT:

Right Click your battery icon and choose "More Power options". On that screen, check if it is there. It will be under the three normal plans, you may have to click a small down arrow to see other power options. I still have it on my system and that's where it is at.

I know the more options thing you speak of (I saw it before the reinstall).
That's not there anymore. Would osmoen be kind enough to go to the dell reccomended settings advanced settings dialog and list the settigns so i can duplicate it?
