    Hi,

Before I buy a notebook for Dell, I have some questions about your experience with the return policy.

I will like to buy a inspiron 1520 but I never used Vista or a Dell notebook before and I'm not sure I will like it. If I don't like it and I choose to send it back, I know I will have 21 days but I will have to pay for the shipping and handling? What is the cost of the shipping and handling? Where it's ship back? If I have a reason (something that I don't like or doesn't work great...), do I will have a restocking fee?

Let me know about your experience...

    Thanks you.

Can somebody with experience with the return policy in the US answer my question? I asked it to a Dell sale representative and he said he don't know about the return policy just I have 21 days in the US.

    Thanks.

From what I understand, there is something on their website that will allow you to argue for a full return after 30 days. However, it will probably be less trouble to return it within 21 days since you then won't have any argument from reps.

I saw a Dell commercial for Vostro's (US)... At the end, it mentioned NEW 30-day total satisfaction policy, so I guess, at least in small business division, Dell offers 30 days returns. Not so sure about other divisions, tho..

It's not really the number of day I have to return it but the process and if I will get a full refund or not?

    Nobody with an experience?

That was also in a recent thread, use the search function or just go through the past 5 pages or so.
