As stated in my DHL thread I ordered a digital camera and SD memory card. It was an impulse buy so I totally forgot to check stores like newegg for cheap memory (I had a gift card so I had to get the camera at dell.com).

Anyways, can I return the memory card? I still havent received the package yet so obviously the card isnt opened. I looked and I can get a 2 gb instead my 1 gb card for ten dollars less. I still cant believe I forgot to check newegg!

Also, is it worth my time to return the card? I would save about ten dollars and get double the memory. However, I will probably not use all of the 1 gb card so I am unsure. Also, I am sure dell will take at least two weeks to process my return.

    Thanks

if you dont need the extra space, it boils down to how much trouble 10 bucks is worth to you, personally I'd just keep it, with my cannon digiat elph 4.1 mp, at max settings, I kill two fully charged batteries before I clear 800 meg, thats a lot of pictures, and if all its going to be used for is pictures, it really should be all you need

also keep in mind that all cards arent the same, and some of the more expensive ones can be significantly faster than others, and faster is better for cameras

also bear in mind that not all cameras support high capacity cards.

My camera goes up to 2BG tops. Anything bigger and it won't work. Since the camera is relatively new, you probably won't have much trouble, but you never know.

For 10$, I'd just keep it. Too much trouble!

You can check price at other sites too.. prices should be similar.. If you want a card reader, ther's one out there of Inland 52 in 1 for like 12$ or so.
