how would you go about returning a system that has grainy screen problems and possibly avoiding the 15% restocking fee? i just talked to CS and the guy tells me the problem is due to settings. my brother even confirmed that the screen is grainy. if you move a couple inches to left or right, parts of the screen become un-viewable. there is also some light leakage coming from the bottom which affects watching dvds.

will dell first send me a replacement then i have to ship this one back?

i have read the policies but what do you guys tell the customer service as your problem when returnin so they dont charge the 15%..

From what I understand, they vary rarely charge a re-stocking fee. They generally send your new system and have you ship the old one back in the new box I believe.

Yes you have 30 days for the exchage order request. If ity goes outside that you cant get the 100% return from Total Satisfaction program.

the 15% and paying for mailing is for special circumstances only; call Dell and they will confirm that.
