I have a new XPS Studio 1340 and am having many problems with it (random freezes, wobbly feet, beeping hard disk ...).

It was delievered 12 days ago. I would like to return and refund it. What is Dell's policy on this? I know I can get it repaired, but so many other people are having problems that I would prefer a full return and refund.

Sorry for asking this here - I'm sure this is covered somewhere but I can't find the answer anywhere!

    You have 7 days.... :(
    Here is the linky:
    http://support.euro.dell.com/suppor...dsn/en/return_order?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs

However: See this linky I found here on the forum..regarding a return..and the 7 Day's To Return policy:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=190740

It has to do with this:
    http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html

You essentially could have 14 days, if I'm reading all this correctly.. ;)

    Hope that helps! :)

    Cin ;) :)

Well, i recently returned a dell studio xps 16" within 7 days which is what the rep told me.

but last year, i had kept a m1530 for about 22days and still returned it for a full refund.
they initally said 7 days, but after checking with the manager they decided to give me a refund as if your laptop works incorrectly, they also 30 days.
so try to call up and get a refund.

Nice! And apparently you have some law that will extend out the return period for up to 14 days, I'm reading.

So, perhaps if he states the lappy is inoperable....they wont give him any issues..I hope ;)

    Cin ;) :)
