i received my brand new studio laptop and stupid me droped it in the first 20 min of taking it out of the box and now the left side plastic is stickin out and its damaged, but its working fine.

question is can i return it and get it replaced? since its been like 1 day i got it.

I already called dell and told em i received it broken, and they are sending me info in the email for exchange, but he did ask me if the box is damaged i said no, but im wondering if i can get away with it and if any one has ever had this happen to them?

    thanks

You could probably get away with it, but it may not be the right thing to do ethically speaking. Regardless, your probably going to have to pay for shipping back to you, and may need to go without it for two weeks.

I'm sorry, but that's just wrong..Your here on a public forum..admitting that you dropped your laptop (I know that it was an accident)..and you are telling Dell that it arrived *damaged*.

That's not Dell's responsibility to replace something that is not their fault.

This is not ethical. You should have purchased the Complete Care Coverage for something like this.

    Bah.... :(

Thread closed. Discussion of illegal activities such as fraud(you damaged it...not the USPS/fedex or Dell) is not permitted by the forum rules.

As mentioned, this is why there are additional warranty plans for people who are not careful with their electronics...I suggest you look into them for the future.
