Well that was a waste of time and money. After being sent the wrong components (Bluetooth, Wifi, Headset, Spdif) spending 4 hours on hold and being transfered to people who had no clue, And that horrid looking screen Ive decided to return my machine. You can read my review here

I made the same decision as you did. And it took more than 4 hours for me, lots of stress. 1520 had some good things, but overall I'd never never buy from Dell again.

Im not writing off Dell, But I think the Inspiron 1520 is a failure, Its just to large and dell has cut corners everywhere on it.

My feeling about Dell comes from dealing with their sales rep for hours. They didn't speak language, but it was clear they didn't want me to return it, and try to delay it with every ways possible.

About 1520, it is a shame. They did put solid chassis, decent keyboard and 8600GT. However, they cut corners too much on most parts.

Please do not make multiple threads repeating the same statement over and over. It confuses people as to how many people are returning their product. One person complaining over and over and over again in the same forum gets rather annoying.

I hardly made multiple posts :p. One is a post with a review. The other is a post about me returning my notebook. No one else seems to have found this a difficult concept to grasp.

    *cough* *cough* http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=144011

Considering you did put "Dell 1520 Review and subsequent Return." at the title of your other thread, this one is completely redundant.

Id hardly put this thread under that category, Besides if you hadnt made a post this one would have drifted off into insignificance, youve bumped it back up onto the front page.
