    There might be hope for all of us!

    I've been stuck in the same boat as many, ordered on June 30th with an original ESD of July 20th. Delayed on July 20th until August 3rd. Delayed on August 3rd until the dreaded August 28th.

    WELL, IT HAS SHIPPED - have a Fed-Ex tracking number and all, shows that it's sitting in the Fed-Ex sort facility about 110 miles from my house. Am tempted to drive over and try to retrieve it, but I guess I can wait until Monday. Am buying this lappy for my son who leaves for college on Friday so hot damn - it will actually be here.

    Did lots of chat sessions, talked to customer service (or non-service) three times - did manage to get $100 off the price and a free upgrade to next-day delivery.

    Won't even begin to describe the numerous excuses or the bad info I got - the dang thing is so close now I can taste it!
