For work my company is giving me a Dell Latitude D800 with Windows XP Pro currently installed. They suggested I see as to whether I can run Windows Vista on this machine.

When I check the Dell website under support and drivers, there do not seem to be any display drivers for Vista for the D800. Any suggestions? Is this machine too underpowered to run Vista? Did Dell not release any Vista drivers for the D800?

    Please give me your thoughts.

    Thanks,

    Sean

Most of those drivers should be included in the 18,000+ drivers included with the Vista installation. Dell didn't put up a driver page because (1) the laptop has been retired for some time and (2) the D800 was never marketed as Vista-capable so that don't have to lift a finger.

That being said, you really shouldn't have an issue I'd think.
