I read around and people said there was an option under Diagnostics (Restart and then toggle F12). It said it would run a few scans and then let you test my speakers to see if the hardware is working correctly. Could someone tell me the exact steps as to how I could test my speakers to see if it's really a hardware issue or a driver issue? Thanks in advance.

Don't Know about Dell Diagnostics bro but you can do the same and much much more using Hiren Boot CD

1. Turn off computer.
2. Press and hold the power button and the Fn button simulateously.
3. Let go of the power button after about 2 seconds but continue holding down Fn button.
You'll get the hardware diagnostics this way. -
I found the Diagnostics & Utilities CD, I did it that way.
