On a desktop you can install the SATA drivers with a floppy disk.
I just received a new HDD for my Vostro 1510 laptop but since there's no floppy in laptops how the heck can I install those ? I read some fix but i'm wondering if anyone know a quick work-around to install them ?

    Thanks

There's not quick work around besides setting the drive to compatability mode (loss of AHCI features). The solution is to slipstream drivers into your XP disc with nLite.

Yeah I guess that's the only way out with nLite.

First install XP with drive in IDE mode, then switch on AHCI ^^.

I tried this just because I wasn't sure how well it would work, and it works great... problem is it's way more work than slipstreaming in drivers.
