Did you reinstall the OS? Have you downloaded the most recent driver for the card reader?

i tried but i couldnt find a update for the driver. You were also helping me with the resolution problem, and i looked at the device manager and i looked in the "monitors" section and there is 3 and they all say default monitor. i think that is why it looks so bad. any suggestions???

This is what you will need for your card reader.

For the monitor issue, download the display driver from the support site. Then go into each entry and uninstall them. Then reinstall the new driver. I'd reboot after the uninstall of the three. Sounds like there is a conflict. Could you post a screenshot of the device manager?

Ok, I got it. Yeah go into each and uninstall. Just for good measure also uninstall your video driver and use the latest from the Dell site.

You want to install the drivers then restart. Also try and and reinstall the the Notebook System software as well as the chipset.
