    I see there is a slot for a SIM card under the battery for the xps m1210...

    anyone have a link for the setup or software apps for this?

    any documentation to understand the functioning would be great, thnx

    I think that's for mobile broadbrand. You would have to sign up for the service from Cingular (or any other provider that supports it and uses a SIM card).

    how do i use my laptop as a phone?

    or what is the purpose?

    For internet from carriers that have internet through the cell phone service. Can you use it as a phone I do not know but want to know. Any answers to that?
