    "STRIKE ZONE" written on the bottom of the E1705?

    If you have an E1705, flip it over and see if it says "STRIKE ZONE" near the padded foot left of center. Mine does, and I have no clue as to why. Something to do with the drop testing they Dell does, maybe? Does anyone know? :confused:

    The HD has shock absorbers around it, so if the notebook was not seriously dropped (i believe 3ft) it will protect the HD.

    I noticed this with the Inspiron 630m (XPS M140) vs. the Inspiron 640m, the 630m did't say Strike Zone and the 640m did, but after inspection I saw no difference in harddrive enclosure or even the cover that had the Strike Zone lettering other than the padded foot which they both have in the same spot.
