STUDIO 14z has too many problems

Ok I reinstalled windows vista 64bit 4 times sent my computer into depot, tried talking to dell support and I got nothing. The computer cant play mp3s through windows media player or vlc player-it says windows audio service isnt working.
My screen blinks, I always get this error windows event log stopped working.
I tried installing Vista 32 bit and my computer wouldn't start after the installation finished, so I had to reinstall 64 bit.

Anyways thats the jyst of my problems, any help is extremly appreciated cause I have just about given up on this dell and I only bought 3 months ago with nothing but problems so far. thanks.

EDIT: I forgot my touchpad constantly freezes.

 

I had that issue on Vista 64 as well. I was always able to restart the audio service through control panel but no permanent solution. I'm now running Windows 7 64-bit and that issue is gone. I'm not sure why you weren't able to successfully install Vista 32.

I've never had touchpad issues. I assume you've downloaded the driver from Dell support?

If you have access to Windows 7 I suggest installing it. Not all the drivers are available yet, but I've had no issues using the Vista ones in those cases.

 

hey does anyone have any issues with the heating on the 14z? my cpu core temps are around 58-60 for idle and go up to 76 for load. does anyone else have this problem?
