    I'm building a 5105 ... I am not a gamer but intend to upgrade to Windows Vista.

    For non-gaming non-3-D rendering (i.e. will use for photo but not rendering), is it worth the $100 upgrade?

    It seems like 256 video card is requried for the Vista upgrade.

    Yes, it is worth the 100$ upgrade. Screens are very difficult to replace aftermarket.
