    Hey guys,

I apologize if this is a rather "newb" question, but I still have yet for SP1 to show up under my Windows Update. Is it safe to just manually install SP1 for Vista? I have an Inspiron 1520 running the 32-bit Vista.

People have reported more success by upgrading to SP1 manually. The standalone installer can be downloaded from Microsoft's website.
