I was under the impression that the Latitude line of notebooks rarely ever went on sale, yet in the past few weeks I've noticed a string of very significant sales ($400-500) on most Latitudes. For those that follow Dell, is this significant? Does it indicate an upcoming advancement or upgrade to the Latitude line? The reason I ask is because I just recently (last night) placed an order for a new D820... but if there's an upgraded D820 - or even a D830 - on the horizon, I'll cancel. Thanks for any info and advice

well usually if there's a big sale, it means the line is about to end and a new one will come out... but who knows.

I have a D820 and it works great, I hope you like it.

I would pounce on this deal ASAP.

I purchased a decked out d820 and its about 120 bucks cheaper now. At that time it was $450 off, now it's $500.

The time to purchase is now in my opinion, even if a new line is coming out. This is the time that the margin sways towards the consumers. So enjoy the great deal I say.
