It's me again. Iam the over- excited guy waiting for his Dell Latitude D610. I'll recap you real quick, then i want your experiences with dell or opinion.

I purchased my Latitude D610 online on 9/14/2005, via business account next Day delivery using FEDEX, along with our business fedex account number. There was a 2 day delay in pre-production because Dell had our old billing address and not our new one(we moved over a year a go) . I was a little disappointed in the delay but understood on why they waited to make sure the address was correct. So it finally went into production on 9/16/2005- yeah!!. Then by friday 9/23/2005, the computer had shipped via UPS 3-5 day. WHAT? I called Dell to complain that I placed the order via our FEDEX account # with next day air. They told me that during the delay of the wrong billing address mixed up that the person inputting the chages didnt notice i had put down our own carrier (FedEX) and NEXT DAY DELIVERY. So he ended up putting us down for 3-5 Day UPS ground. At this point Iam BOILING. To make a long story short I got Dell to refund me my total shipping costs, plus a $100.00 Dell certificate used any time. What i want to know is- Is this more than enough compensation ? I should have had the notebook by today at the latest. Now, i have to wait until this Thursday. Im stuck with a business meeting presentation tomorrow with my powerpoint file on my thumbnail drive with no notebook. Iam a little ticked! Should i take this any further than free shipping and $100 certificate used towards a dell purchase? Please, your input would be much appreciated and mabe even a little healing. Thank you for reading Marks frustrations.

I think what they did was more than enough. I know it sucks that there is a delay but at least it hasn't been postponed a few weeks. They could have asked UPS to ship it back to Dell so they could put it on the FedEx and it would have been delayed longer.
