Hey
Was gonna pick my Vostro 1500 up today at the schenker office about 5 min from my house, was happy and all.
Waited 10 min outside and then the guy came emptyhanded, and he told me that he couldn't find the package. He then typed the waybill # in his computer, and he told me it had been sent to another town, on the other coast of sweden. They'd sent it east instead of west. It also said "WRONG ARRIVAL" or something on his computer. Note: this wasn't displayed on their public tracking on their homepage, only that it had arrived for distribution in the city of Nybro.
So another days wait, was quite pissed when i left the building, didn't look back at the guy or anything, just left![]()
Now this would be a good chance to get compensated from dell or schenker. Because dell is the one who paid for shipping, i thought i ought to talk to them. I forgot to add bluetooth to my config, so maybe they could send me a chip for free or something?
Do you think this would be possible? I was planning on saying something like this:
"I booked and payed a ticket to north of sweden to go visit/or anything else when the lady at schenker told me the computer arrived tomorrow. Since i need the computer for the trip, i have to unbook, get my money back and then get a new ticket for tomorrow instead, if the laptop arrives then"
Or something.
What makes me doubt is Schenkers ETA which is not until tomorrow.
But the lady who i spoke to on the phone yesterday promised it would be in my town today by 8AM!!!

I've had various shipping issues with Dell laptops in the past too, seems like a worldwide issue I guess. In fact, twice I've had UPS or DHL lose my laptop while in transit, it just never arrived to me. Hopefully your laptop does arrive to you when they say now, I know how frustrating it is to have to wait another day when you expect it on a certain day.
Schenker are fools - compensation?
