I know that this has been brought up in the past, but where is the thread that has the list of the screen codes of variour manufacturers for the Inspiron 1520. I originally order an XGA (non glossy) but Dell sent me a glossy screen which I also thought was XGA (I kept it because I needed a laptop) but according to the Dell system configuration tool I have a WXGA screem so if anyone could I direct me I'd be of much help. Thanks.

    WXGA is widescreen XGA.

Oh, I get it, could some one link me to a thread or tell me the part numbers of the screens and manufactures (I tried the search but nothing came up). I was also thinking about possibly seeing if Dell would switch this screen for the anti-glare screen which is what I had originally ordered. Do think Dell would do this for me?

If Dell made an error and sent you the wrong part, you can just call them up and have it exchanged out, meaning you don't need a part number. However, I don't remember Dell offering a non-glossy screen with the Inspiron 1520.

I think they offered a non-glossy screen up until the beginning of August (I ordered late July). Do you think it would be a problem that I waited this long? I'm pretty sure that they offer the non-glossy screen on the Vostro 1500 so it can't be discontinued or anything. I really needed a laptop so I kept the glossy, but I'm not to happy that i have to look at the screen dead-on for it to be visible.
