The screen on my old I8000 is beautiful and amazingly almost scracth free (except on small on you can only see when it's off. About 1/2 inch on the lower left...put there by the Dell Tech sent when my battery switch broke :()

Is there anything I can do with this? Aside from being on the laptop I mean, since I am getting my 1210 soon.

Also, any suggestions on what to use the system for if I can't?

    Specs:

    P3 900/700
    Geforce 2go
    256megs ram
    CD/DVD drive
2 batteries (good life on them too it seems)
    15" screen (1400x1050)

    Maybe an emulation machine?

You can replace the screen or possibly have dell fix it. This depends on when it was broke and what type of warranty you have.

There is also screentekinc.com that might be able to fix it or replace your display for you.

Sorry, what I meant was this.

This laptop still works great in every way. I just need a new use for it :)

I was wondering if there is anyway to hack into the screen and use it on something else. I like to play inside things :)

LOL, sorry probably helps if i read the whole post. Well you can use it to give yourself technical experience with laptops. Tear the thing apart if you are getting a new one and see if you can get it back together.

Other than that, you can sell it on ebay or just have it as a spare.

yank it out and put in the headrest of your car.

Haha, no. With that size, I'd have to mount it in the glove box.

Actually thought of that >.> But mainly for a media server in the car for music, since I drive 3+ hours a trip pretty often to see my girl.
