Hey all, every once in a while when I boot up my computer, I get to the log in screen and the display goes wacko. I get what look like crazy artifacts and lines galore. I cant do anything so I have to hold down the power button, restart and everything works great. lol..its the weirdest thing. I am thinking its either GPU or motherboard. Now, I wonder if its my vid card drivers...I am running Omega 6.3's.

Does anyone else experience this problem with the Omega drivers? if so I may try and get a replacement card, possibly see if i can get one of the Nvidia's if I have to pay a little extra.

your videocard is dead/dying. talk to dell and send your laptop back for a new vid card.
