Had my XPS M1530 for a week - have the 1280 x 800 screen. I've been noticing more and more light bleed from this screen (pretty bad along the bottom edge).

Is it possible to get this replace and/or upgraded (don't mind paying for upgrade) without sending the laptop back? I need the laptop every day so can't be without it, but I'd be happy to replace screen myself or have someone come out and do this? I'm in the UK btw.

What kind of warranty do you have? If its at home repair, someone will come from the Dell to you and swap it. If you only have the basic 1 year warranty, you may have to send it in.

On my invoice it says "Base Warranty - 1 year XPS Premium Hardware Support including Gaming and ON-Site Support"....

I'm pretty sure you will have to send it in. Check on the Dell site

Dell's site says base warranty does not include repairs at home, so you have to send it back.
