I did a factory restore and the old video resolution problem returns. Whenever the notebook wakes up from sleep, the screen resolution changes to something other than its native one. I never had this problem before the restore. Also, the speakers don't sound as well as they used to be. Did I miss reinstalling some kind of software after the factory restore? I don't recall installing any new sound software/driver when I first received my m1330.

I had this resolution problem when I first got the 1330 but it has since vanished. I did what one poster suggested which was after it happens, right click desktop then go into graphic poperties and change the resolution there. I havev the Intel X3100 graphics. Before that when I went to change the resolution back to what it should be by other methods of entering the display properties it continued to have the problem. Not sure why that fixed it (or if that was what really fixed it, I didn't really make any other changes so who knows).

thanks. I just discovered that the mic isn't as sensitive as it used to be. In fact, the volume is so low that it's not usable anymore  Looks like my original setting is very different from the factory restore. How do I get my system back to normal??
